About AI Guide
AI Guide is an independent, English-language guide to the Chinese AI tools worth using — video generators such as Kling, Hailuo and PixVerse, music models such as Mureka, chat models such as DeepSeek and Kimi, plus image and 3D tools. Every tool page carries the current pricing, the free allowance you actually get, and a verdict you can act on.
Why this site exists
English coverage of Chinese AI is usually one of two things: a listicle of links, or a fan page that stopped being updated last quarter. Neither tells you what a tool costs today, what the free tier really includes, or how it compares with the model that launched this month.
The vendors themselves publish plenty — in Chinese, and in changelogs, and in press releases. Reading those sources in the original is the one thing we do that most English directories cannot, and it is why the pages here tend to be current while the alternatives are not.
How we handle pricing
Prices, credit allowances and free tiers move constantly. Each page carries a "Last checked" date, it says where the numbers came from, and where a figure is a vendor's own approximation we say so instead of pretending to precision. We re-check the vendor pages on a schedule; when something changes, the page is updated rather than left to rot. Always confirm the final number on the official site before you pay for anything.
How we make money
Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one, sign up, and later subscribe to a paid plan, we may earn a commission. That is the main way the site is funded; display advertising may also appear.
Affiliate links do not buy a verdict. Tools we would not recommend are simply not listed, every tool page carries a caveat section, and a tool that pays us nothing is compared on exactly the same terms as one that pays us the most. Where several tools qualify, we recommend the one that fits the reader — the comparison pages exist because both sides of every comparison are worth using for different jobs.
What we do not do
We do not publish benchmarks we cannot stand behind, and we do not copy vendor marketing copy. Where we have not tested something ourselves, the page says what the source is instead of implying a hands-on review. Nothing here is a guarantee: model capabilities and prices change quickly.
